KOUNDÉ PLAYS THE FULL 90 MINUTES AGAINST AZERBAIJAN U21 (1-2)

Contrasting fortunes for the two international Sevillistas who featured on Monday evening, the first international break of the 20/21 season. As Vaclík returned home due to the change of squad for the Czech Republic, the only Sevillistas still on international duty were Jules Koundé and Luuk de Jong. 

The centre-half, on his first international call-up, again played the full ninety minutes away from home, this time against Azerbaijan U21. An Edouard penalty and a goal from Gouiri gave the Frenchmen a two-goal lead, and held on despite Bayramov pulling one back for Azerbaijan. France U21 are top of their European U-21 Championship qualifying group. 

Luuk de Jong again came off the bench as the Netherlands faced a tough clash against Italy. Inter player Barella scored the only goal of the match, before the Blanquirrojo striker replaced Nathan Ake with ten minutes to go. Italy now lead the Netherlands by a point in Group 1 of the Nations League League A.
