Things could not have gone any better for the Sevillistas who faced international action on Saturday night, during the second international break of this season. Augustinsson, Gudelj, Delaney, Bono and Munir were all capped and all ended up on the winning side, while Dmitrović was an unused substitute for Serbia.
The World Cup Qualifiers Matchday got underway at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, with Augustinsson's Sweden securing a comfortable 3-0 win against Kosovo. The left-back started the match and played the full 90 minutes. Sweden are now a point behind Spain in the group, with a game in hand, and they will face third-placed Greece on Tuesday.
Denmark will secure qualification on Tuesday with a win over Austria
In the later kick-offs, there were two matches involving Sevilla players. Delaney started in Denmark's 4-0 win in Moldova, but he was replaced by Mathias Jensen just before the hour mark. The Danes have won all seven qualifiers so far without conceding a single goal, and will secure qualification if they beat Austria on Tuesday night. At the same time, Gudelj started for Serbia in their 1-0 victory in Luxembourg, and made way for Lukik after 79 minutes. That win moves Serbia top of their group, but Portugal are a point behind with a game in hand. Serbia will face Azerbaijan in Belgrade on Tuesday before facing Portugal in Lisbon in a crucial qualifier next month.
The final match was Morocco's trip to Guinea-Bissau. As usual, Bono started for the visitors, while Munir, who scored in his last international outing, was brought off the bench on the hour mark. Morocco won 3-0 and remain top of the group with nine points. Their next match is a trip to Guinea on Tuesday night.
