Yassine Bono, who has extended his contract with Sevilla until 2025, spoke to club media where he expressed his happiness at the extension to his stay in Nervión and addressed different topics regarding Sevilla and himself. In terms of the extension, the goalkeeper began by saying that "I am very happy to be able to continue here, to continue developing as a goalkeeper, person and player in the group and club, that we know is very ambitious. There was never any difficulty in renewing. We were figuring out a couple of things and we were focused on them but nothing more. From my perspective and from the club's nothing was complicated. I am happy here and it is an ambitious club that is hungry to continue growing and to continue achieving important things to add to those already achieved. This stimulates you and makes you feel alive."

"Sevilla makes you understand that it is a high performance club. It's not only about being a good player but also performing well. When you understand that you are forced to give the best version of yourself. To me, Sevilla allows me to continue improving and demands this from me. This is important for me. There is a friendly environment without losing the professional element - the challenging demands of the biggest clubs. There is a balance that is important that the players feels it. The city and the people are marvellous.

"I hope to concede the fewest goals but really I am not obsessed by it. I try to enjoy every moment on the pitch"

Moving onto sporting matters, Bono spoke about the respect of the team and his current record as the goalkeeper with the fewest goals conceded. "We have reached the last very important stretch and the team is ready. It likes to face difficult situations at the same time as nice ones. I don't usually track how many goals I concede honestly. I try to enjoy every moment that I am on the pitch and I don't think about anything else. I hope to concede the fewest goals of course and I want to achievement this but really I am not obsessed by it. I think about enjoying every training session and every game."

Talking about signing for Sevilla FC, the Moroccan goalkeeper highlighted his ambition to continue developing: "I was excited and I needed to come to an ambitious, demanding and nice place like Sevilla. At the start it is difficult but it is something that from the start that I knew coming here and it excited me a lot and created a fire in me that I could grow here. At the honouring of Unzué the other day I saw they put the number of games of several great goalkeepers who have played here and the truth is it makes you want to appear on it, spend time here so that they say Bono was here for a long time. The best players are those who are prepared and who work every day to respond to the needs of the club before their own."

"You have to follow dreams and hope that they're nice moments such as in Cologne"

The Sevilla goalkeeper was also asked about his relationship with Dmitrovic in the dressing room, where on more than one occasion they have talked about the good dynamic they enjoy: "Marko and I have a very good relationship. Not only in the team but also outside of it too. We are very good goalkeepers at this Sevilla. When you have a level to defend your position there is no need to be one way or another but to trust in what you do and your work. For this reason we have a good relationship. I can only say good things about him. He always helps me, he supports me and this is not always easy to do because he is good enough for this Sevilla team.

To finish, Bono left the door open that, after Cologne, the best moment as a white and red may still be to come. "I am left with loads of brilliant moments. Of course, the Europa League that we won but also other good and bad moments that have helped to continue improving me. Dreaming is free. You have to persist with your dreams and it costs nothing to dream and to hope for moments as nice as Cologne. We will continue working in the same hope hopeful for what is to come."
