Cristian Toro appeared in front of the media following his team's victory against Sporting de Huelva yesterday. Firstly, he said "I think that the team played very well, we had many chances to put ourselves further in front, but ultimately I am happy with the victory and knowing that we have kept our competitive edge. What we saw here was a team that is able to close out a game with relative ease, but there were times when the pressure on us increased and we were made to suffer. The group is training well and we hope to continue in this fashion."

He was also questioned about the versatility of his forward players, as he assured us that "up top we have five players who could start and so we have to rotate them. It was a good game for everyone, we understood what we needed to do during the game and we caused some damage. I hope the team keeps this up because this week is tough, and now we have to stop thinking about this game and prepare ourselves for another intense game on Sunday."

Before he left, the manager stressed the importance of just focusing on the next game and not looking too far ahead in order to keep up the good form of his side: "We are going to focus on one game at a time, because each match presents a different challenge. It was important to keep a clean sheet today, there have been various games where we failed to achieve this. I am happy with the work of everyone in the team, we have got to keep on improving because we can always get better and play at a higher level."

Martín-Prieto: "Quizás faltó materializar más, pero hay que saber sufrir y estoy contenta"

The goalscorer Martín-Prieto was also very happy with the result : "We knew that it was going to be a tough game and that Sporting were not going to lie down. We created enough in the first half to kill the game, likewise in the second half, but we didn't take our chances. However, you have got to be able to deal with difficult periods in matches too. On a personal note, I am happy to continue my goalscoring run, that's what strikers always want. The coach asked that we rotate and I move onto a wing... from tomorrow we will focus on Villarreal and hopefully we can get another victory in front of our fans to keep on climbing up the table."
