Sevilla FC have appointed Joaquín Caparrós Camino (Utrera, 15th of October 1955) as the new Director of Football of the Club. Caparrós will be responsible for the sporting operations of Sevilla FC - comprising the First Team squad, to the various squads of Sevilla's academy. Caparrós, who will be presented in his new role tomorrow at 12:00PM CET, will organise a new technical team to assist in the Club's operations.
Joaquín Caparrós is all but an institution at Sevilla FC, having led the First Team in more official fixtures than any other manager in history in his two different spells in charge. In his first, he took the team from the second division to Europe - eventually achieving consecutive continental qualifications. In his second - this very season - he once again secured European football by picking up 10 points in four games.
