Joan Jordán, outstanding in the league opener against Espanyol, seemed satisfied and happy by the way the team played and, of course, with the first three points of the league season: "I am happy to start off on the right foot against a more experienced team than us and who are used to playing with each other. We played a very good game, both when we were in and out of possession. We deserved the three points and now we have to continue what we have started".
JORDÁN: "WE CONTROLLED THE GAME AND DESERVED THE THREE POINTS"
"In phases the team played very well, we worked together and we were concentrated and focused on the task at hand. It got harder towards the end, but we eventually found the goal we were looking for".
As regards to the starting eleven that Lopetegui chose to start off the league season, Jordán said that: "well, the starting eleven plus everyone else helped the team a lot, we will take away the positives so that we can improve, because this is just the beginning, and there is still a long way to go".
"Our goal was to come here and win. We have done a lot of good things in pre-season and we have a lot of room for improvement. Now, we need to start preparing for the game against Granada", the Catalan centre-midfielder confirmed.
To finish off, Jordán elaborated on his own thoughts after his debut: "On a personal note I was very excited, it has been a long time since I was this excited; it is a massive club, it is still surreal to think that I am playing here".
