This Monday José Gallardo López - who played for Sevilla FC in the fifties - passed away aged 90. Gallardo joined Sevilla as a centre-midfielder from Balompédica Linense. He joined in 1951 and stayed until the end of the 53/54 season, though without many opportunities in the team. He played 13 matches and scored 5 goals. After leaving Sevilla FC, Gallardo went on to Murcia where he stayed for four seasons; from there, he played for Valladolid and Tarrasa, where he played one season each. Sevilla FC expresses its sincerest condolences to José Gallardo López' family and loved ones.
