JOVETIC: "WE DESERVED TO WIN"

Stevan Jovetić was happy with his Sevilla's attacking display in the 2-1 win against Celta Vigo on Thursday night.

Jorge Sampaoli's side secured a vital three points in the race for third place with goals from Joaquín Correa and substitute Wissam Ben Yedder.

“We deserved to win today because we had a lot of chances," said the forward. "We should have killed them off earlier; it wasn’t easy because Celta are a very good team. We’re happy to be level on points with Atlético.

“[The ball] wouldn’t go in, I don’t know why. There would be a problem if we didn’t have chances, but goals come through creating chances."

With Atlético's loss against Villarreal on Tuesday night, Sevilla capitalised to draw level with the Vicente Calderón outfit on 68 points.

“We’ve got four games to go and we hope to reach around 80 points," said the 27-year-old. "We’re all happy because we know that we have a very big opportunity. We’ve given everything to win and we’ve managed to do that.

“Now we’ve got to rest because we’ve got another final in three days.”
