Loïc Badé might not be the only Sevilla representative at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Santi Denia, the Spain U23 coach, has today confirmed the 22-man squad who will prepare for the tournament at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas from next Monday. Academy graduate Juanlu Sánchez has been named in the squad.
The right-back will join up with his teammates on Monday, before the squad is whittled down to the definitive 18, while the remaining four will only participate in case of an injury. Spain are in Group C, and will face Uzbekistan, Dominican Republic and Egypt between Wednesday 24 and Tuesday 30 July.
Spain were Olympic silver medalists three years ago in Tokyo, and will be looking to pick up another medal this time around. The final is scheduled for 10 August at Parc des Princes, with Argentina and France shaping up to be the main contenders.
