It was another draw at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in a game that swung both ways. Former Sevillista Munir returned to haunt us with a goal isnide the opening seven minutes although we fought our way back through Kike Salas before taking the lead in the second with an Isaac goal off the bench. The joy, however, was short-lived as the away side equalised just four minutes later to seal a 2-2 draw and despite late chances, once again we were unable to win at home in the league.
The first half started in the worst possible way as CD Leganés took the lead almost at the start of the match, thanks to a free kick by Munir that Nyland failed to deal with. A goal down, we grew into the game with both Suso and Lukebakio looking dangerous in attacking positions. A corner from Suso found the head of Kike Salas to level the scores on 20 minutes with a brilliant bullet header.
Isaac made it 2-1 in the second half but Javi Hdez equalsied for the away side
At the start of the second half, we came out looking to complete the turnaround with Lukebakio denied by Dmitrovic when clean through one one-on-one against the former Sevillista. Another chance came after another corner kick, also for Lukebakio, who this time dragged his shot narrowly wide of the post. On hsi first home start, García Pascual was industrious and had a header from a Pedrosa cross that went straight into the Serbian keeper's hands. With 65 minutes gone, Caparrós had already introduced three changes, bringing on Juanlu, Gudelj and Isaac.
The highs and lows of football came in a four minute spell in the second half. First, Isaac scored to give us the lead for the first time before, Javi Hdez headed in a equaliser to just the celebrations short. A big blow to the morale, the team push for a winner and despite chances for Lukebakio were forced to settle for a point at the Sánchez-Pizjuán.
