Simon Kjaer started in Denmark's first game of the UEFA Nation's League since they resolved the conflict which forced them to play their last friendly match against Slovakia with amateur players. The coach, Aage Hareide not only chose to start with Kjaer but kept the Sevilla centre-back on the pitch for the 90 minutes.
Denmark convincingly imposed themselves over Wales thanks to a brace from Christian Eriksen, who opened the scoring half an hour in. The win was sealed with the Tottenham star netting his second just after the hour mark.
The other Sevillista in action yesterday was Quincy Promes, who was unable to taste victory as Holland visited the world champions in Paris. The Sevilla forward was chosen from the start in Saint-Denis, but he saw his team lose as Olivier Giroud got the winner after Ryan Babbel had cancelled out Mbappé's opening goal. Promes was substituted for Ruud Vormer in the 76th minute, just after the third and final goal of the game.
