Jules Koundé has been crowned champion of the second edition of the UEFA Nations League with France. The Sevilla FC central defender played the whole game in the comeback by Deschamps' side against the Spanish team, who started by putting themselves ahead on the scoreboard through Oyarzabal on 65 minutes.
The joy of Luis Enrique's side didn't last long, as practically in the next play they saw Benzema score the equaliser. As a result, the intensity would increase in the Italian stadium with both teams looking to get past the opposite goalkeeper. It was Mbappé who found himself to finish with class and place the second in 10 minutes from time for the French, who despite the attempts from Spain, managed to hold out to the end and achieve the title. The Sevilla defender was active throughout the whole game and even received a yellow card.
For France it was the culmination of a good competition with another epic comeback and taking the title from Portugal, just before returning next month in November to qualification for Qatar 2022.
