2-2: KOUNDÉ PLAYS THE FULL 90 MINUTES AGAINST PORTUGAL AHEAD OF THE ROUND OF 16

Jules Koundé started in France's draw against Portugal in the final match of Group F. Didier Deschamps' side had to dig deep at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, but a point was enough for the French to reach the Round of 16 as group winners.

The Sevilla centre-back, who was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, played at right-back on a night in which he had to work hard. In fact, Spanish referee Mateu Lahoz gave a penalty to Portugal on the hour mark after a handball by Koundé. The next match for France will be their Round of 16 tie, against Switzerland at 21:00 CEST on Monday night in Bucharest, as they look to reach the quarter finals. The competition is in the middle of a brief pause, which will last until Saturday evening.
