Jules Koundé was key for France U21s on Monday night. The Sevilla FC centre-back, who started the match for Sylvain Ripoll's side, scored the only goal in the match held at Strasbourg. Gouiri crossed in from the left, and Koundé made the most of a ricochet in the box to put his side ahead after 22 minutes played.
Koundé's side find themselves second in Group 2 for the qualifiers for the U21 Euros in Hungary-Slovenia to be played 2021. Their next game will be next month against Lichtenstein who find themselves bottom of the group.
