Koundé was happy at full time as Sevilla won at the José Zorrilla: "We tried to play as we normally do, it's our identity. We have to play away from home just as we do at home. It was a tough match against a good side, both teams really wanted to win. It was a hard-fought match and we've got all three points".

Giving a more detailed view of the match, he stated that "we could have scored again in the first half. It was harder in the second half. It's always better scoring a second to give yourself breathing space".

Finally, Koundé thanked the travelling Sevilla fans; "There's always a great following at this club, it's good that our fans travel and get behind us, we're really grateful to them for it".
