Clémenet Lenglet believes that there is everything to play for with five games remaining this season.
Sevilla are looking to pip Atlético Madrid to third spot in La Liga, and the January signing believes that Atéti’s Champions League semi-final could play in Sevilla’s favour.
The 21-year-old told SFC Radio: “There are five games left and with the momentum that we have, we can finish the season in third place.
"We hope that’s possible because there’s a good group here. It’s the aim, to be in Europe and we’ve got five very important games to do that. Anything is possible.
“Atlético have two very important games in the Champions League to play and we have the chance to win points. Their European games might take their toll on them.”

Sevilla travel to the Santiago Bernabéu in the penultimate game of the season, and the French defender believes the match could be vital.
He explained: “We can go there and win, anything is possible. Thursday’s game is the most important, but it’s one of five. It’s difficult to win there, but we’re a good team and anything is possible in the run in.”
Lenglet has fitted seamlessly into the side since signing from Nancy in the January transfer window, and the France Under-21 international is happy with his progress.
“I’m very happy, everything has gone perfectly,” he explained. “I’m very happy to have played 12 league games since arriving and I hope to play more. When I signed, I wanted to play well as soon as possible and I think that everything has gone well.
“But I hope to play more and play better, it’s important for me and for the club. It’s been very important for me to learn Spanish quickly. Players like Vicente [Iborra] and [Adil] Rami have helped me with the language and with translation when if I’ve not understood something.”
Sevilla face Celta Vigo at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Thursday evening, and Lenglet is confident that the home support will make a difference.
He said: “Playing at home is easier because the fans are behind you and supporting you.”
