The central defender Kike Salas, a product of the Sevilla FC youth system, who has been part of the first team in the first half of the season, has signed a contract extension with the club until June 30 2026. Salas, who will turn 21 in April, has also sealed a loan move to CD Tenerife, who he will link up with for the rest of the La Liga Smartbank season.
Salas made the jump to the first team this season, playing ten matches. In total, he featured in six La Liga Santander matches, scoring once and assisting once, twice in the UEFA Champions League and twice in the cup. Salas, who is also registered with the reserve team, has also played six games for Sevilla Atlético, in which he has scored and assisted once. Sevilla FC wish Kike the best of luck for his time in the Canary Islands.
