Sevilla FC boss, Julen Lopetegui, spoke to the media after the last night's game in the Sánchez-Pizjuán against West Ham. After the victory in the first leg, the man from the Basque country firstly commented by sating, "the team made a huge effort overcoming the many difficulties against one of the top teams from the Premier League. We are at the half way point of the knockouts and the game in England is going to be completely different, with the teams in full force."
In terms of the team as a collective, the boss was satisfied: "We had 22 shots on goal, the team did great job both on the attacking and defensive front against a team that have top players that can cause problems. We showed a lot of heart, a lot of character and we built up a good momentum against those top players. Rakitic had a digestive problem and couldn't start the warmup."
The boss didn't want to leave without once again praising the warmth and affection of the fans in the Sánchez-Pizjuán: "The fans have once again given us that energy we need to fight in every game."
