Sevilla FC's head coach, Julen Lopetegui gave his press conference yesterday, Wednesday, ahead of the game against APOEL FC tonight: "The lads know that tomorrow, we're coming to win. It's a prestigious European game and there are three points are up for grabs. There's also an economic prize. We're going to try to play well against the toughest opponent in the group who are going to make sure we're on top of our game".
LOPETEGUI: "WE STILL WANT TO WIN"
"Even though things are done, the competitive spirit never leaves our boys. Tomorrow they are going to go out with ambition to play well. There are also a lot of young lads here and I'm sure that they'll also have an extra boost if they play".
The manager spoke about tomorrow's rival: "They've a different manager from the first time and they also play in a slightly different way. We don't know how they'll play tomorrow, but we know they'll be solid and physical. They gave Ajax problems in the Champions League and this isn't easy to do. At home, I'm sure they'll be even more dangerous. But we're approaching the game with excitement and respect".
"Everyone has trained well and are ready to make the most of their chance"
Speaking about Ocampos, who has travelled with the squad, Lopetegui confirmed that: "Lucas is availabe, and that's why we've brought him. We will decide the starting XI tomorrow. Obviously he could play but tomorrow we will decide the team".
Lopetegui finished off by saying that: "For me the winter market is far away. With respect to tomorrow's match, there are players in the squad who've played fewer minutes but this doesn't mean that they're automatically down the pecking order. Everyone trains brilliantly and there's a lot of internal competition. We always say that when the alarm goes, you've got to be ready, just like what happened with Bryan not so long ago. This happens when they train well and are ready, as is the case with Rony who I know will make the most of his opportunity".
