Lucía Ramírez was the protagonist this thursday on SFC TV. The centre-field of Morón de la Frontera spoke of her current return to competition after a week away from the game to accommodate international commitments: “The time off hasn´t been a break for us as such, because we have been training the entire week and weekend prior. Such that we have more time to prepare for the game, ensuring that we are more than ready to get back out there".
The young, homegrown player, with 10 years under her belt playing for the first team, discusses the differing standard between the first and second division and on being knowledgeable on both categories: “ There is a massive difference between the First and Second Division primarily because the players in the First Division are quicker, stronger and more skilled- and it shows.. Personally, I will continue working to give my best to the team”.
An important contributor to her growth has been the captain Marta Carrasco, who found herself recovering from a snapped ACL injury suffered last season: “I am hoping that she makes a return, although her return would mean another team member would lose their place in the squad. She is one of the best friends that I have ever had, and continue to have, and her return to the game will be great for us".
