Dodi Lukébaki was presented as a Sevilla player this Thursday. The Belgian international, who was unveiled alongside goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland, expressed how grateful he was for the opportunity: '"I really want to thank everybody here that made this deal happen. The fans really welcomed me at the airport. I was not ready. Of course I knew that Sevilla was a big club, but when I saw how everybody welcomed me at the airport, even here, I can see that it's a family club. So I'm really happy to be here. And I intend to learn Spanish very soon."

Asked what made him want to play in Spain: "I have been watching [La Liga] a lot, and I know that it's a really attractive league. I'm really looking forward, and I have only good advice from everybody about the league. I'm just looking forward to start." He spoke about the chance to play on Europe's biggest stage: "the Champions League is amazing. It's clear in the stadium that it's a club that wants titles. I know it's not easy, but I'm looking forward to trying to bring the club what it deserves."

He also faced questions about whereabouts on the pitch he prefers to play, he indicated that he simply wants to do whatever Mendilibar demands of him: I have played in practically every position, but in the end I play where the coach wants me to. The coach has the plan, and we have to follow it because in the end we all want to win." Towards the end of the conference, the forward reacted to comparisons with club legend Frédéric Kanouté: "I don't like to compare myself with other players. I just want to come here, enjoy myself, work hard and write my own story.
