Pablo Machín appeared before the media following the defeat against Getafe on Sunday evening. The manager evaluated the match, which was an uphill struggle right from the start: 'Against an opponent with the qualities of Getafe it was more difficult, but we still had a lot of time left. We did what we had to, we had chances but we lacked composure.'

Likewise, the coach admitted how hard the result was to take, but he praised his players' effort: 'Football is often decided by these small margins. I believe the team never stopped trying, maybe we lacked a bit of composure. To finish, Machín emphasised the difficulty of starting off so early with the scoreboard against them and the chances of a possible comeback: 'It was difficult, and even more so when a team sits back with two lines of four and when their strikers are good playing with their back to goal. We created more chances, definitely more than them, but your finishing is what counts. They finished well and we didn't. We hope our key players will have more luck in front of goal in the coming matches.
