Sevilla Atlético maintained their lead at the top of the table with a second consecutive away victory against Cádiz CF Mirandilla in the Sunday sun. After a goalless and very even first half, goals from Musa DRJ and Manu Bueno saw Jesús Galván's side secure three golden points in the fight for automatic promotion.
Sevilla Atlético started on the front-foot and had the first chance of the game through Musa's long-range effort. In response, Borja Vázquez failed to trouble Alberto Flores when well placed at the back post. After an entertaining start, the match became somewhat scrappy in midfield as both sides sought to cancel out their opponent while also failing to create any clear chances of their own.
Manu Bueno scored the all-important winning goal
Just five minutes into the second period, Musa collected a fine pass from Manu Bueno and beat home goalkeeper Nando from the edge of the penalty area to put Sevilla Atlético ahead. However, on the hour mark, Borja Vázquez was rewarded when trying his luck from distance after the ball hit Musa and looped over the despairing Alberto Flores.
As they have on many occasions so far this campaign, Galván's side reacted to the setback and took the lead for the second time in the match. Manu Bueno found space on the right to send a dangerous cross into the box that evaded everyone, including Nando, and found the back of the net. Instead of looking to hold on to the lead, Sevilla Atlético pushed for a third as Musa let fly from distance, forcing Nando into evasive action. With Cervera's players now desperately searching for an equaliser to grab a late draw, key man Musa produced a moment of defensive brilliance when he blocked Kensly's shot on the line to prevent a certain goal and secure the win for his team.
