Sevilla Atlético didn't fail in their objective to stay up as they defeated Cádiz CF Mirandilla at the Estadio Jesús Navas on Saturday. With Capi's goal in the first half, the youth side were able to secure the win in the Estadio Jesús Navas to extend their undefeated streak to four games.
Lulo, with a shot that hit the crossbar, showed the intention from Sevilla Atlético to attack from the outset. It didn't even take fifteen minutes for our side to take the lead, with Capi's powerful right-footed shot from the left side of the box finding the back of the net. This was a fair reward for the dominance the home side had shown since the match had begun.
Carlos Álvarez and Isaac looked to score another to ease the pressure
With a headed effort narrowly going wide after taking a deflection, Carlos Álvarez could have put space between his side and Cádiz on the scoreboard before Isaac, with a deflected shot, experienced the same misfortune as his shot went wide. In the final exchanges of the first half, Alberto Cifuentes' men were effective in their opponent's half, leading the home side to shut up shop and show their defensive capabilities.
The start to the second half showed the strengths of both sides and how equal they were, which meant the away side had to take a risk to find the equaliser. Fortune was on the side of Sevilla Atlético as Mweppu's shot hit the woodwork, as did Luka's headed effort. In the final play, we had the chance to wrap up the victory but Aznar came out on top in a one-on-one. However, this did not matter in the end as the youth side picked up an important win in front of a home crowd, their third in the last four games at the Estadio Jesús Navas.
