After falling to defeat against Mar Menor FC, which was their first loss in six games, Sevilla Atlético claimed a point against Recreativo de Huelva in the Estadio Jesús Navas. Against the side who were the second to qualify from Group 4 of the Segunda RFEF, our side were unable to mark their dominance with a goal. From the start of the game, we were the better side in a clash that was crucial for our survival hopes.

The match began with Sevilla Atlético having the first chances at goal. After just ten minutes, Talaverón was outside of the arse when he was through on goal with just the opposition goalkeeper, Rubén Gálvez, between him and the back of the net. From the free kick, Nacho Quintana was unlucky to see his powerful shot not find the corner of the goal. In a good first half for the home side, Carlos Álvarez tried his luck from far out with a shot that very nearly proved to be the opener.

In a more even second half, Capi was the latest player to have a chance as he shot from just outside the area. Our goalkeeper Alberto Flores was rarely called into action thanks to the impressive defence in front of him, the home side kept trying to find the goal which would bring them the three points. Sevilla Atlético had chances in the final stages, but ultimately the scoreboard didn't reflect the dominance of our reserves. Alberto Flores was forced into a good stop in extra time with Salinas' shot going close.
