3-0: SEVILLA FC FEMENINO SEE OFF SD EIBAR TO REACH MIDWAY POINT OF THE SEASON ON A HIGH

Sevilla FC Femenino recorded an impressive 3-0 victory against SD Eibar on Sunday. Cristian Toro's side, who had to work harder than usual for the win, grew into the game to take the three points and continue their fine run of form that has seen the team climb the Liga F table into European contention. 

In the first half, Sevilla FC Femenino were superior in both general play and chances created, but failed to put them away. The openings came through Toni Payne, Martín-Prieto and set pieces from Rosa Otermín. SD Eibar only had one first-half chance but never truly threatened, although they were able to prevent Toro's side from scoring before the interval. 

However, everything that had been building up in the first half, finally came to fruition in the second. On 55 minutes, Rosa Otermín's cross was met by Pamela González, with the Uruguayan central midfielder adding another goal to her tally for the season. Following the first substitutions around the hour mark, our top goal scorer, Cristina Martín-Prieto, then added the second goal, putting the game beyond doubt. While the visitors regained a foothold and created some chances, with 15 minutes to play Martín-Prieto struck the final blow.

The victory marked another clean sheet for Esther Sullastres and puts the team in sixth place in Liga F on 28 points at the halfway point in the season, in contention for European qualification. Next week sees us travel to the capital on Saturday to face Madrid CFF.
