'I needed to get back to playing a full game,' he commented

Gabriel Mercado, one of Sevilla FC's goalscorers on Thursday night, was happy with the victory and very satisfied on a personal level for getting back on the pitch: 'We needed to win to be comfortable in the group and we're well positioned to achieve our objective, which is to qualify from the group.'

'In this competition, it's rare to see such big wins and we have to give it the praise it deserves. But we have to move on because we have a match on Sunday which we want to win and we're already thinking about that because there is not much time to celebrate,' explained the Argentine.

On a personal level, Mercado affirmed that 'I was very keen to play a full match, I needed it. I have to thank everyone who has helped me and once again the support of my teammates.'
