In defence, Aleix Vidal and Sergi Gómez have had the greatest presence, playing in eight matches, with Sergi Gómez playing the full game in seven of his matches. They are followed by Navas, Escudero and Arana, who have played in six encounters. Carriço and Mercado, with five appearances, are the two centre-backs who most frequently accompany Gómez in a hypothetical eleven in these games, Kjaer and Gnagnon are not far behind having played four matches. The list ends with Berrocal, who has played in three matches, and Corchia and Pareja with one match each, both of whom have already left the side.
