As Montiel left the pitch at the 78 minute mark, Ocampos came off the bench to join in with proceedings

Argentina, already qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, played their last of their games for this international break in the early hours of Wednesday, against Ecuador. The draw featured Sevilla FC right-back, Montiel, who played a total of 78 minutes up until he was substituted. Ocampos also featured as he came off the bench at the same time to provide Scaloni's team with some cover on the left hand side.

The Argentinians, who are still yet to find out when their adjourned fixture with Brasil will be played, remain second in their South American group with a total of 39 points, six behind the Brazilians.
