'Dear Sevillistas,

The time has come for me to say goodbye to what has been my home for five years. We have spent some happy and other not so happy moments together, but always knowing that we left it all out on the pitch in line with my way of playing and understanding this game. I have always tried to defend this badge to the best of my ability and to be at the level of what playing for this team means.

Thank you for the support and even the boos, that helped me become a better player and to keep my feet on the ground. I leave knowing that I was a good person, humble and hard working, values that my parents taught me and that I will carry with me forever.

I would have liked to have left in different times and been able to feel the warmth and support of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán one last time, but I will definitely come back as a fan. I think the president, José Castro, and Monchi for giving me the chance to defend this shirt and to experience Sevilla FC. I also thank all those who work for the Club and helped us achieve our objectives.

Lastly, I thank my family, my parents, my brothers, family-in-law, friends and most of all my wife for making things easier with their support and never allowing me to give up. I wish you all the best in the future and I hope you keep on making this institution ever greater.

A big hug for everyone and I'll see you again.'

Franco Vázquez finished his farewell on the pitch of the Sánchez-Pizjuán as he took photos with the UEFA Europa League trophy, his wife and teammates. Before that, he answered some questions from the press:

'We've experienced a lot of emotions. I'm leaving happy knowing that I spent so long here and playing my role in the history of the Club as we won the UEL, got to the Champions League quarter-finals... I give it my all. I'll be a fan of the Club and I hope it keeps on achieving big things,' he began.

Mudo also said that 'playing at the stadium was a pleasure. When I arrived, I was told it was like playing in Argentina and that was the case for all the games I played. It was a shame to be without the fans for the final season and that will be an annoyance for years to come. I've had a lot of enjoyable and happy nights playing here. It will always be in my heart, I was really happy here.'

'"Mudismo" is how I play the game. I've always tried to play the same way, enjoying myself and I hope people had fun watching me out on the pitch. I really like the nickname people gave me, I'm grateful to them,' Mudo said about his style of play.

Finishing up, Vázquez said 'alongside the club where I started my career, Belgrano, Sevilla FC is the most important club of my career because I achieved big things here. It was special and unique.'
