Franco Vázquez was satisfied following Sevilla FC's hard-fought win in the Sánchez-Pizjuán against RCD Espanyol, mainly because 'we knew the importance of the game. Thank you to everyone for your support. We deserved the win. We played really well despite going behind, we had the clearest chances in the first-half. They had one and they scored, although they did have more control of the game. We got ourselves back into the game with the set piece in the second-half.'

Regarding his personal form, Franco Vázquez stated, 'you always try to give your best. Maybe I was a little tired today after playing so many minutes, but you always try to give it all. And it's an honour that people recognise it.'
