MURIEL: "WE PLAYED AT THE SAME LEVEL AS WE DID IN MADRID"

Luis Muriel returned to the starting 11 this Saturday and added to the scoreline with an impressive goal on Espanyol soil: "We are all very excited today. We've bagged a second consecutive victory and above all, we played at the same level as seen in Madrid. It's crucial that we carry on like this". 

The Sevilla FC player acknowledged the good work of the new manager since his arrival at the club: "The work done by Montella since his arrival has been extremely important. We needed mentality, confidence and we've demonstrated that we have a great team and that can do amazing things". 

Finally, Muriel praised the team's defence: "Ensuring that we don't concede goals is just as important. Sergio is a great goalkeeper and it's our job to help him. I hope to see many more matches like today's. Personally, I am extremely happy to have scored because it has filled me with confidence which is just what I needed".
