NAVAS: "THE TEAM SHOWED A LOT OF CONFIDENCE AND TURNED IT AROUND"

The captain continues to break records, but keeps his feet firmly on the ground

Jesús Navas spoke to the press after the win against Real Sociedad: "The other night, we let the game slip through our fingers after playing well in the first half. Today, it wasn't easy because of what happened against Eibar, but the team showed a lot of confidence and turned it around". He continued: "We have been playing well since the first game of the season. We have the right attitude and are confident in ourselves. We deserved more in some games already this season, but now we have got to keep pushing on".

"The fans were superb as usual; even after we went a goal down they were still in full voice. It's incredible to be able to play here and the fans are key to helping us take that next step forward". In addition, he spoke about the manager: "The gaffer is conveying very good ideas to us. We are doing our best to take them on board, and then taking them on to the pitch. This is the attitude that we must have".

Navas brought up 350 games in LaLiga last night, but he says that doesn't set himself goals: "I hope I can continue to play for many more games. I want it to be a great year and I'm not focusing on individual accomplishments. I'm enjoying playing so much that I don't need to focus on these types of things".
