The club premiered the third season of the audiovisual series Never Surrender, which showcases inspiring stories of athletes and fans whose values align with the club's motto: 'Never Surrender.´
This new season of the documentary series is the first to be entirely produced by the club’s own media team, following Sevilla FC’s strategic approach to audiovisual content creation, which aligns with the launch of the Sevilla FC+ content platform. In China, fans will be able to watch the full episode on the club's Weibo channel and on Migu, LALIGA's official broadcaster in the country.
In this new installment, Never Surrender focuses on China, with an inaugural episode dedicated to the remarkable story of Zhang Dong Ping. A former professional table tennis player in his home country, Zhang’s career was cut short due to an injury. However, rather than giving up, he found a new way to pursue his passion for sports as a coach. His journey took him first to Ecuador and later to Spain, where he became the head coach of the national table tennis team. Under his leadership, Spain qualified for the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, cementing his legacy in international table tennis. The club would also like to thank the Real Federación Española de Tenis de Mesa for providing images to make this episode possible. The episode is already available on YouTube.
The club is launching Never Surrender in China for the first time, targeting a key market in the club’s international expansion. The club already has 2 million followers on local social media platforms Weibo and Douyin, where it creates content that connects with fans and the local culture, including the Studio Show program and participation in celebrations like Chinese New Year.
The first two seasons of Never Surrender featured six episodes showcasing stories of resilience in India, highlighting figures such as goalkeeper Dhiraj Bommadevara, cricket player Dinesh Karthik, and FC Bengaluru United, a club with which Sevilla FC has a cooperation agreement.
