A NEW SEVILLISTA GENERATION CHRISTENED AT THE SÁNCHEZ-PIZJUÁN

Once again Sevilla FC organised one of the most important of the many photos taken on the pitch at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán over the course of the year. It wasn't a match day, but there was no need for any players or even a football to be there for them to have an exciting time on the Nervión turf.

Over 300 children born in 2016 had the traditional Sevillista Generation photo taken, an event which has taken place since 2013 with members born the previous year. The president José Castro was there with the mothers and grandmothers, who for a time had the Sánchez-Pizjuán pitch all to themselves.

"It's the photo of hope", said the president in his brief speech, declaring that the photo makes it clear that "the future is secure". After the photo there were children crawling and running, proud mothers... A new Sevillista Generation, christened on the pitch of the team that they had in their hearts before they were born.
