An agreement has been reached between the club and Quique Sánchez Flores to mutually terminate his contract on June 30. Sánchez Flores joined the club as head coach in December and managed a total of 23 games, 23 in La Liga EA Sports, three in the Copa del Rey, with two league games against Athletic Club and FC Barcelona still to play.

The news was announced by club president José María del Nido Carrasco during Saturday's press conference. He stated, "Last night, around ten o'clock, I spoke with Quique and we agreed that now is the right time to reveal that he will be our first team head coach until his contract runs out on 30 June. He will tell you himself that he will not continue this role into next season. I would like to thank him for his tremendous effort, the club was in a very difficult situation when he arrived and he has helped us out of it through many hours of hard work. He has done exactly what was needed, and for that we are very grateful. I would just like to thank him once more for all his hard work during a tricky period. He will always be welcome at Sevilla.
