ÓSCAR ARIAS: "A DEAL COULD BE FINALISED AT ANY TIME"

During the presentation of Nolito, Óscar Arias acknowledged that there are some deals in the final stretch of negotiations, although he avoided mentioning specific names: "We are working on several fronts and a deal could be finalised at any time. I don't know why Fenerbahçe have made the decisions that they have with Kjaer, but we are in advanced talks, including with other players yet to be released in the press".

Asked whether the club will have a better squad available than last season, he gave a carefully worded response: "Sevilla FC has had a good team for several years and the intention is to keep competing at this level, and even improve. When the season finishes we will see whether or not this is the case, in terms of performances. Prior to all that, we believe that we are doing what we want within the realms of what is possible for us and we are pleased".  

As for Jesús Navas, the wait continues: "It's a topic that's on the table. As the President said, we have made an offer and we are waiting for the response. There is no ultimatum, although the sooner we solve it, the better for everyone. Although we're dealing with the same agency as with Vitolo, they are completely different issues.

After revealing that he has no preference regarding the Champions League draw, he again made it clear that it isn't a good idea to broadcast negotiations: "I understand your questions, but I don't like to get too personal on these subjects. Talking in this way can occasionally help things, but it normally does more harm, so I don't like to comment".
