Sevilla FC has lodged an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD) in an attempt to overturn the suspension of midfielder Pape Gueye, who was sent off after being shown a second yellow card in the league match against Atlético de Madrid last weekend.

In the same letter, the club also asks the Court, if they cannot deal with the appeal today, to at least grant a precautionary suspension of the suspension pending consideration of the appeal.

The club has presented as evidence footage of Gueye's second yellow card, which clearly show that our player should not have been dismissed.

The club has reached this stage after, firstly, the RFEF's Competition Committee did not consider the allegations presented to discredit the dismissal and, secondly, the Appeals Committee did not consider the appeal presented by Sevilla yesterday. The Court is due to respond today, Friday, to the request from the Club's legal team.
