THE PEÑA DE HUÉVAR PAYS TRIBUTE TO CAPARRÓS ON ITS 19TH ANNIVERSARY

In addition to the Director of Football, the President José Castro, the assistant Faustino Valdés, and Roque Mesa and Juan Soriano as representatives of the first team went to the ceremony.

On Tuesday night, the celebration of the Peña Cultural Sevillista de Huévar's 19th anniversary. In the ceremony, the hosts wished to pay tribute to Joaquín Caparrós, Sevilla FC's Director of Football, and present him with a commemorative plaque for all the years he's dedicated to the club. The President José Castro, the assistant Faustino Valdés, and Roque Mesa and Juan Soriano as representatives of the first team were also present.

'After 19 years of maintaining this supporter's club with dedication, it's clear to see that there's a future for all the youth here. At Sevilla FC we insist on the same thing in our academy and we have to be sure the club is going to keep growing so we can be even more proud of being Sevillista,' expressed Caparrós during the ceremony.

Sevilla FC's President, José Castro, thanked the Peña de Huévar for their dedication and lauded the Director of Football with praise: 'You're completely right in paying tribute to someone who deserves it as much as Caparrós. This supporter's club is one of the ones you see at each away match, their banner is always there, and this is a great joy because they live for Sevilla FC. Regarding the man celebrated tonight, I want to say that Joaquín has only gone and done it again. He came in in a tough moment when we still hadn't achieved our objective and he was a key part in achieving it. But even more difficult was when he arrived for the first time, with a team in Segunda and very few resources.
