It was a difficult day in the media zone at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán after the defeat against Rayo. The first to appear was Suso, who acknowledged that "in the first half we didn't play well, losing possession a lot. In the second half we had more chances to score, but they caught us out of position and were well-organised, they defend well and it's hard to score against them.

Sevilla have to get the three points at home in every game. Today was a game for that and to move forward after the good game in the Champions League. It wasn't to be and now we have another difficult Champions League game coming up. We have to think about City, one of the best opponents in the world to show that we are still improving and can compete".

Still coming to terms with what happened, Óliver Torres commented that "it's difficult to talk about. It's true that it wasn't the game we expected, we didn't play well and we have a lot of work to do. This is not the Sevilla we want or need and we have to be self-critical and try to improve from now on. There are complicated games coming up, but we have to stick together as a group, we have to do our part and continue to push and improve the things we aren't doing right."

Finally, Rafa Mir did not hide his disappointment: "We are frustrated for not getting the win and we are in a difficult place, but only with hard work will we be able to turn it around. Things are not going well, especially at home. More than anyone we want to give the fans that joy, but we have to keep working, be more decisive in the box, create more chances and be tougher."

"It's an change that we all have to make to turn it around. We are Sevilla, we have the demands of this club and we can't be putting in performances like this. Only all of us together will be able to get us out of it. We know what the derby means, but we have to go to Manchester with the right mentality to give a performance deserving of the badge."
