Joaquín Caparrós was unveiled as our new head coach after he return to the club was announced yesterday. He began by saying: "Thank you to everyone for being here and to the president and everyone for giving you another chance. You can see my face. I am very happy like the first day with Monchi and Roberto Alés. I am older but with the same hope. I have come back home and I'm excited to work with a magnificent squad and hope that the results come in this game of chance. I am sure that with the fans all of this will come."

"The common denominator is the badge, we we all have to defend. Also, our fortress, the Sánchez-Pizjuán. We have to defend all of that and be united to get three points against an opponent that is also playing to get the three points. Achieving that would give us a boost," he added.

"We are going to take it game by game. Alavés is the most important game of the season"

Caparrós also explained that "we are going to take it game by game. First Alavés, the most important game of the season. When that is over we will focus on the next game. Now we want to see a good atmosphere in the stadium, that they support the players. We all need each other and we all have to do our part to get the fans on board."

"Now is the time to come together and for everyone to think about the badge. We are the club that carries the name of the city, let that be clear. We are very important worldwide and have a lot of people who support us. We need to get back to winning, to competing. We have to roll up or sleeves, be united as one, one single unit, which is Sevilla FC. When this is over, we’ll talk about other things. For now: Sevilla, Sevilla, and Sevilla. The Sevilla badge. We have to show it, not just say it," he stated.

"We're going to look the players in the eye and take it from there"

"Depending on how I see the players, we’ll start communicating to them what we want. There’s no point in sticking to a script. We’re going to look them in the eyes and take it from there. All our focus is on Alavés, we can’t lose sight of that, it would be a mistake," he concluded.
