Cristian Toro discussed the value of the win against Rayo Vallecano with the media. Talking about the events of Wednesday afternoon's game, the boss said "it was important to get the three points. We had other chances to extend the scoreline, but it was difficult, it wasn't the best game, but also it is important to get the win because we suffered and worked for it. To get back to winning ways at home was important and the positive thing is that we have picked up two wins on the bounce".
As for the initial line-up, with only one change with respect to the eleven that came out at Matapiñonera on Saturday, the argentine affirmed that "the idea was to give the eleven on the pitch some continuity and we wanted to give Nazareth some minutes as well. In the first half we found it a bit difficult having the ball but Débora was causing Rayo trouble with her overlaps. I think that we had chances to be calmer in the game, but our opponents are playing for their lives and we have to value every win and result in order to get back that momentum. It is not going to be an easy week, with Toni recently getting back from the United States and with players still finding their form...but the positive is we are creating a lot more and causing danger to the opposition, but we have to improve on our calmness on the ball during those attacking situations".
Furthermore, Toro wanted to praise Isa and Karen, who have both returned to the team on an official basis, but recognition of the group above all else: "Isa is returning from an injury and we want to give her some minutes, something every player is getting. The important thing is that, as a collective outfit, since managing those situations, we want everyone to feel involved and to work to ensure that as a group we can compete and achieve things together". In closing, the boss talked about ending the week against Valencia Féminas CF with the idea in mind to carry on competing and bringing people back: "The important thing is that the team get back on track physically. Maybe today was harder for us, but we will see which is the best starting eleven for the weekend and this way we can keep on competing and picking up positive results".
