Jules Koundé joined Julen Lopetegui in the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's Champions League clash against VfL Wolfsburg. He began by saying 'I'm feeling good. I think we've had good results in the last few games but now we're playing in a different competition and against a different kind of opponent. We have to show what good form we're in tomorrow and come away with the three points.'
KOUNDÉ: 'I'M NOT SURE IF WOLFSBURG ARE THE MOST COMPLICATED OPPONENT BUT WE WILL FOCUS ON OURSELVES'
Continuing with his analysis, Jules focused in on Wolfsburg and what could decide tomorrow's game: 'We are expected a tough game against a complete team who have talented players and are quick on the attack. It will be an even affair: we will play our possession game with aggression to make life as difficult as possible for the opponent.' He went on: 'I'm not sure if it's the most complicated opponent, we will see how they react tomorrow, but we have to focus on ourselves and play our game. Salzburg was a tough game but that's in the past and we have to focus on tomorrow's game. The Champions League demands the most of you.'
'I have a lot to improve to have an even better season than last year'
To finish up the press conference, Jules spoke about more personal matters: 'The summer is in the past now and I'm focused on the team. They need me and I need them to play at my highest level and that's what I'm aiming to do. I'm happy with the results we're getting and how I'm playing, but I have a lot to improve to have an even better season than last year.'
