PRE-SEASON VISIT TO JAPAN CONFIRMED

Part of our pre-season preparations will take place in Japan as García Pimienta's side will tour the Asian country and play two friendly matches. 

 

We will face Consadole Sapporo and Sagan Tosu, both teams from the J-League, the top tier of Japanese football. The match against Consadole Sapporo will take place on Tuesday, July 30 at 7 PM Japan time, 12 noon in Spain, at the Sapporo Dome stadium, which was one of the venues for the football tournament of the 2021 Olympics and the 2002 World Cup. Then on Friday, August 2 we will face Sagan Tosu at the Ekimae Real Estate Stadium, also at 7 PM Japan time (12 noon in Spain).

 

This summer will be our third visit to Japan, after trips in pre-season in 2006 and 2017. In 2017, we played against Cerezo Osaka and Kashima Antlers and in 2006 against Albirex and Jubila. For Consadole Sapporo, the match against will be their first match against a Spanish team, while Sagan Tosu has previously played against Atlético de Madrid.
