President, José María del Nido Carrasco, spoke to the media at the traditional floral tribute to the Virgen de los Reyes. Del Nido Carrasco said, "I'm happy with the team's performances although we haven't got the points we deserve. We are on the way with this new Sevilla that is developing. The results will come sooner rather than later. In the three games I think we deserved more points than we got, but we have to have patience and confidence in this project and in what we are seeing on the pitch."
"There are a couple of days left of the window, we are an active club and there are options on the table. These are frenetic days and we have 90 to 95% of the work done. We are working on all possible scenarios to register Valentín and that is how it is going to be before the transfer window closes. There were options that could have left us if we didn't act quickly and we decided to bring them in so that they could be working and building a squad. So the decision was made thinking that it was the best thing to do," he continued.

"The aim is to create the foundations for another great Sevilla and now we are focused on beating Girona to get our first three points. We remember what happened before, but another cycle has begun, with many changes in the squad, coaching staff, etc. I am fully confident in the project," he commented.
On a possible sponsor: "Last year's strategy must be considered a mistake. We are in negotiations with several brands and I can't confirm what day it will be until it is signed, but we are going to have a main sponsor."
In closing Del Nido Carrasco said that "everything is almost finished. We need to release a bit of salary to register Barco and then if there is a departure we will replace them in line with out strategy."
