On Tuesday Sevilla U19s will play in the last sixteen of the UEFA Youth League against PSG away from home. The Sevilla team, who arrived first thing on Monday morning in the French capital, will face a tough game against one of the big sides in European football with the aim of progressing through to the quarter-finals for the first time. Lolo Rosano's squad arrived in good spirit after the 5-0 win on Saturday against Castilleja CF in the regular league season at the training ground.

They will face an opponent who were almost faultless in the group stage, gaining 14 points from their six games with four wins and two draws and not tasting defeat against the likes of Brugge, Manchester City or Leipzig, with 14 goals scored and seven conceded. Sevilla themselves finished second in their group with three wins, two draws and a defeat - results which allowed themselves to then get the 1-0 win away from home in the playoff round against Rangers FC with a goal from Carlos Álvarez.

"We came here to compete. We are Sevilla and we are always committed"

The Sevilla coach spoke to official club media in the hours before the game. "We have a mix of feelings. We are hopeful of progressing, focused and sure that the team will do a good job with the spirit that we will be proud of. It is an attractive game in a very good competition, we have demonstrated that we are a very strong team in the competition and for the players, it will be one of the most important games which they have played up until now in their careers." He then followed up about his feelings as a coach: "From an outside perspective it is very important, then from a coaching perspective you work on the game and you have to focus on what you have to do to win it and then think about what you can achieve. I think that we are on track and working well to be able to do it. I don't want us to throw it away because we are in a big city. We have come here to compete. We are Sevilla and we are always committed."

Rosano also highlighted the commitment of the players. "The boys that are with Sevilla Atlético or the first team, when it comes to playing in the Youth League have a commitment and humility that makes it important to them. The group is ahead of everything and those that join up with it are really hungry to support it. When you play in a competition like this you face very good teams and players who in the future will go on to make a mark, but we also have these types of players and from now on we have to focus." To finish, he thanked the club for their support for the group in this competition and at all levels. "The club have supported us because the game will be on our official channel and I believe a lot in the support that this can bring. If the supporters watch the game and are with us, I am sure that it will give us the energy and strength for the team to compete and make history. You realise the importance that this competition has for the club when the people at the club are wishing you well and giving you confidence. This helps."

The 20 players travelled to Paris on Monday morning

The travelling group led by Pablo Blanco, Agustín López, Antonio Fernández y Marcos Gallego is made up of 20 players: Alberto Flores, Adrián Romero, Juanan, Mancheño, Darío, Sergio, Kike Salas, Juanlu, Hormigo, Zarzana, Juan, José Antonio, Diego Jiménez, Rivera, Manu Bueno, Gonzalo, Alexandro, Lidueña, Carlos Álvarez and Talaverón.
