Jorge Sampaoli sent 20 players to the Dutch city yesterday, without Nemanja Gudelj and Erik Lamela, who are both serving yellow card suspensions. Meanwhile, Ruud Van Nistelrooy will be without winter signing Thorgan Hazard, who was injured last week..

Opponents form

The Dutch side are fourth in the Eredivisie with 43 points, six points behind current leaders Feyenoord - possible opponents for Sevilla FC in the last 16 if they make it through. This week they drew 2-2 with FC Utrecht in their league match.

Returning to where it all started

Sevilla FC return seventeen years later to the stadium that opened the way to European titles, the Philips Stadium. Jesús Navas, a starter in that final against Middlesbrough in 2006, remains at the highest level in the Sevilla squad.
