Matchday 35 in La Liga brings Sevilla FC to Spain's capital this Sunday to face Real Madrid. Sevilla will be looking to return to winning ways after Monday's loss against Athletic Club at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, their first loss in six. Julen Lopetegui's team will also be looking to end a run of 13 straight losses away to Madrid with the last win coming in 08/09.

Sevilla come to the Alfredo Di Stéfano with 70 points in their locker and having achieved weeks ago their goal of playing in next year's Champions League. But the team's motivation is still at a maximum to end this 20/21 campaign on a high. Furthermore, after yesterday's draw between FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, Sevilla would cut points to the top should they win in Valdebebas.

Real Madrid welcome Sevilla at the end of a week in which they were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea FC. Zinedine Zidane's men, who have 74 points, will move top of the league should they overcome Sevilla after yesterday's aforementioned draw, putting the title in their hands. Zidane will be without the services of Sergio Ramos, Varane and Mendy.

Julen Lopetegui has brought 23 players to Madrid, with the only players left out being Gnagnon and Munir. Lopetegui said in the pre-match press conference that his team travel 'with the same desire and motivation that always moves us.' He pointed out 'we are where we are because we have been great this year; nobody has gifted us anything.' Lopetegui will not be on the bench tonight after he picked up his fifth yellow of the season against Athletic Club.

The match will be played this Sunday 9 May at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium, with kick-off at 21:00 CEST. The match will be refereed by Martínez Munuera who will be assisted by González González on VAR duties.
