FERNANDO AND RAFA MIR SHARE THEIR THOUGHTS AFTER THE CUP TIE AGAINST VELARDE CF

Rafa Mir, scorer of the second goal in Muriedas, and Fernando, who made his return to the Sevilla FC lineup, shared their thoughts after the win in Cantabria: "We controlled the game by playing well and we achieved our main goal, which was the win. I'm very happy and now it's time to relax, clear our heads and come back with all our energy. We know that we haven't been at the level this club deserves, we apologise to the fans and let no one doubt that we'll be back after the break to turn this around." said the Sevilla striker.

When attention turned to Fernando, the Brazilian remarked that "I needed to be back on the pitch, to have that feeling of being with my teammates and I'm very happy. It's all forgotten now, it's just a fact of life and we've got everything behind us to try and have a good period of preparation ahead of the second half of the season. The objective was to get through this tie, it was essential to get the win and now we have to think about getting everything bad out of our heads and come back 100%.
