RAIN IN THE PENULTIMATE SESSION BEFORE ALAVÉS

It's not often that Sevilla FC find themselves in the middle of their preparation for a league match on a Saturday, but that's what was required by the first Monday night game of the season. In heavy rain and strong winds at the training ground the team headed out on to the pitch with their minds on Deportivo Alavés.

The focus was largely on Vitolo, who is not ruled out for the trip to Vitoria. In fact, despite training separately, he did some work with the ball, and the decision regarding whether he plays any part on Monday will be based on his recovery.

The team will get back to work on Sunday at 10:45 at the training ground behind closed doors, with Jorge Sampaoli's press conference scheduled for shortly after.
